ZANDVOORT - De Nederlander Robin Frijns heeft de pole position bemachtigd voor de Eurocup Formule BMW op Circuit Park Zandvoort. In het bijprogramma van de Masters of Formula 3 bleef de rookie de Brit Jack Harvey en kampioenschapleider Luiz Filipe Nasr rond een tiende van een seconde voor. Jack te Braak, de tweede Nederlander in de competitie, start de eerste wedstrijd op zondag vanaf plaats zeventien.
Voor de tweede race is het Jack Harvey uit het team van Fortec Motorsport, die de pole bemachtigde in een tijd van 1:43.014 voor Daniel Juncadella en Robin Frijns.
